The Cape & Islands Farm Bureau is the County chapter of the Massachusetts Farm Bureau. The national organization under which we operate is the American Farm Bureau with 6.2 million members nationwide. C & I Farm Bureau has 600 plus members locally. Farm Bureau lobbies for farmers at the local, state, and federal levels of government. The Mass Farm Bureau has been very successful in representing farmers at the state house and is responsible for much of the current laws and regulation affecting farmers across the state.

In addition to assisting with legislation, there are many other benefits to membership in the Farm Bureau. They include affordable insurance (home, farm, auto, disability) with discounts for membership. Discount programs on many products and services including Dodge Trucks, Grainger Supply, Farm Bureau Bank, Tufts Veterinary services, and many more.

Five (5) Types of Membership

Regular Member A member actively engaged in the business of agricultural production or service as described in the county and/or state by-laws. The farmer or the representative of the farm has voting privileges with the organization.
Associate Member A non-farmer who joins to support agriculture an associate may participate in the same programs as a full or part-time member (with exception of voting privileges).
Gold Club Member A member actively engaged in the business of agricultural production or service as described in the county and/or state-by-laws. Recognition is given to Gold Club members in state annual meeting program.
Business Allied to Agriculture A member who has interest(s) in agriculture as described in the county and/or state by-laws.
Student Membership For members 16-25. $25.00 Annual Dues
If you are interested in agriculture and are between the ages of 16 and 25. Student members shall be entitled to be recognized for debate and information, but are not entitled to vote or hold office.
