Farm Bureau Scholarship & Toolship Information

The Cape & Islands Farm Bureau offers scholarships and toolships to Cape & Islands graduating High School Students. Scholarships are awarded to students pursuing a career related to agriculture.

Toolships are cash awards to students who will pursue an ag related trade to buy tools or training. Scholarships are typically $500 and Toolships are $250. The applications are painless.

Scholarships

The Cape & Islands Farm Bureau is proud to be able to present Scholarships for students who will pursue a career related to agriculture. A maximum of 2 Scholarships of $500 each will be awarded to the best qualifed full time students who are graduating from High School.

Students must reside on the Cape or Islands and must sponsored by a Farm Bureau member. The Board of Directors may sponsor qualified students.

The application is easy. A record of High School academic performance with signatures of School Principal or Guidance Councilor and parent/guardian is required.

Application deadline is February 1. Notification will be by April 1. Scholarships may be used for tuition, books, computers, etc. Scholarships will be paid upon proof of enrollment in a qualified agricultural related program and may be reapplied for in consecutive years with proof of satisfactory academic performance.

Toolships

The Cape & Islands Farm Bureau is proud to be able to present Toolships for students who will pursue a career related to agriculture.

A maximum of 2 Toolships of $250 each will be awarded to the best qualified full time students who are graduating from High School. Students must reside on the Cape or Islands, and must be a Cape & Islands Farm Bureau member or sponsored by a member. Farm Bureau membership is family membership, so having parents who are members qualifies a student. The Board of Directors may sponsor a student.

The application is easy. A record of High School academic performance with signatures of School Principal or Guidance Councilor and parent/guardian are required.

Application deadline is February 1. Notification will be by April 1. Toolships may be used for tools, equipment or training for farming or a trade closely related to agriculture. Examples are landscaping. farrier, aquaculture or equipment repair.

Toolships will be paid in the form of a store credit.
